Intaglio Print

Intaglio print still remains as one of the most predominant elements of almost every banknote. The raised ink does not only serve design purposes, it provides the banknote a special tactile feel, making intaglio print a level one security feature that – in contrast to most other level one security features – is also being perceived subconsciously, leading to a rather instantaneous authentication of the banknote.

Impression cylinder blankets

I.T.G.-Intaglio Printing Blankets were specifically designed for the security printing industry. Over the last four decades, the blankets have set the industry standard.

In order to suit individual printing requirements, (i) different surface morphologies and (ii) different tensile strengths are available.

Packing material

The I.T.G.-Packing Boards were developed to be used as a flexible but very durable underlay for intaglio printing. To meet different printing requirements as well as budgetary constraints, fundamentally different types of boards are part of our product range.

All our packing boards are calibrated in terms of thickness and can be customized in terms of format.

The specific manufacturing process leads to the fact that the boards have a preferential fibers orientation. This leads to an anisotropic behavior of the material. As a result, some material properties, for example the tensile strength or the elongation, depend on the orientation of the product. By inquiring the material, kindly indicate the machine and the cross machine direction.

Collector cylinder blankets

Although designed to meet the requirements in Simultan printing, the I.T.G.-Simultan Special 90 has also become the gold standard as the collector cylinder blanket in Super Orlof Intaglio print applications.
